If you run a small business in India and want WhatsApp to do more than ping your phone, you have probably come across WATI and Interakt. Both are well-known WhatsApp Business API platforms. Ora is a newer option that takes a different approach. Here is an honest comparison, based on each company's public pages as of October 2026.

The short answer

  • Choose WATI if you want to design detailed chatbot flows yourself and run large broadcast campaigns.
  • Choose Interakt if you sell mainly through WhatsApp and Instagram catalogues with payments in chat.
  • Choose Ora if you want an AI that answers from your own content on every channel, plus bookings, invoices and follow-ups, without building flows.

How they work

WATI is built around a team inbox, broadcasts and a drag-and-drop chatbot flow builder. You decide each step of the conversation. It has many integrations, including Salesforce on higher plans.

Interakt, from Jio Haptik, focuses on WhatsApp commerce: catalogues, campaigns, payments in chat and a shared inbox. AI agents are an add-on.

Ora starts from AI answers. It reads your website and documents, then answers customers in their own words on WhatsApp, Instagram, your website, email and phone calls. Instead of flows, you write rules in plain language, and Ora Manager, a second AI, reviews chats and suggests new rules when a reply goes wrong.

Pricing

WATI Interakt Ora
Entry price about ₹2,499 a month (independent reviews) Free Starter, Growth ₹2,799 a month Starter ₹4,999 a month
AI replies AI credits on plans Add-on; ₹0.50 per AI message after the included 100 on the AI agent plan Included each month (2,500 on Starter)
WhatsApp message fees Meta's fee plus a markup, per reviews Per-message fees Billed by Meta directly, no markup
Also included Inbox, broadcasts, flows Catalogues, campaigns, inbox Website chat, email inbox, bookings, invoices, follow-ups (by plan)

Prices change often, so check WATI's pricing, Interakt's pricing and Ora's pricing before you decide.

What each one does best

WATI is strongest when you have someone who enjoys building flows and you send big campaigns.

Interakt is strongest for WhatsApp and Instagram shops that want catalogues and native payments.

Ora is strongest when you want one assistant across every channel that answers questions nobody scripted, books appointments, sends GST invoices and follows up on missed sales, and when you want the AI's mistakes caught and fixed.

Where Ora is weaker

To be fair: Ora has no drag-and-drop flow builder, fewer ready-made integrations (no Salesforce or HubSpot yet), and no native WhatsApp catalogue checkout; it sends Razorpay or PayPal payment links instead.

Which should you pick?

Write down the three jobs you most want WhatsApp to do. If they are "send campaigns", "show my catalogue" and "take payments", Interakt fits. If they are "run detailed menus" and "broadcast to thousands", WATI fits. If they are "answer every question", "book customers" and "follow up", try Ora.
